How the MANUFACTURER Gains the CMS Advantage:

CMS carefully researches entry into the marketplace and develops relationships with manufacturers identified as credible and professional and that are positioned in the middle and upper market segments.

CMS prides itself on open communication and the exchange of ideas. Together, a mutually agreed strategy is developed with an emphasis on company and product messages. CMS encourages an evolving strategy where messages and brand images may shift depending on market demands. The CMS staff are trained and available to work with their clients to meet all these specific needs.

The manufacturer receives a comprehensive and informative fortnightly management report based on the calls undertaken by the Product Managers. The report includes details of all calls made during the fortnight, details of specifier’s current and future projects, specific sales opportunities found, market research feedback from the specifiers on the products presented and market industry reports.

CMS also conducts monthly client network meetings designed specifically for the CMS client base. They provide a dynamic environment for networking and the exchange of ideas and industry information.

CMS recognises the significance of professional associations within the industry and has working relationships and memberships with the MBA, HIA and BDA. CMS is also closely affiliated with the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and Engineers Australia.

The services provided by CMS through its Specifier Marketing System is charged on a cost-shared basis allowing manufacturers maximum benefit for a minimum fee. Manufacturers gain full product exposure directly at specifier level for a fraction of the cost of employing their own architectural representative.

In addition to the services offered in the Specifier Marketing System, the manufacturer and their products receive benefits such as reinforced market image and brand awareness.

A Solution for the SPECIFIER:

The CMS Specifier Marketing System provides the specifier with innovative and time-saving solutions to their need for up to date product information. CMS Product Managers visit the specifer’s practice at an arranged time to update and educate them on a range of interesting and innovative products from some of Australia’s leading manufacturers and suppliers. Rather than being called on by numerous Sales Representatives, specifiers meet with CMS Product Managers who provide vital product knowledge and contact details all during one face-to-face visit.

The service is non-threatening as no sale is sought and it is undertaken at no cost to the specifier. The Product Managers will update their manufacturer’s manuals in the library with the latest brochures and either leave samples at the time of the call or arrange samples to be delivered if required.

CMS keeps the Specifier in touch with the legislation, building codes and so forth that are pertinent to their client’s products. Specifiers are also informed about the many CMS product launches, trade nights and country trade shows.

If you are a specifier and would like to receive an update from one of our Product Managers, please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time.

CMS’ Role in Continuing Professional Development Points:

The New South Wales government recently introduced the Continuing Professional Development Points (CPD) scheme for all holders of building and trade licenses. The other states are expected to follow suit during 2006. CMS has been approved to assist those involved in gaining CPD points in order to retain their licenses. This may be achieved by:

  • Visiting a CMS Future-Proof Building Centre.
  • Attending seminars held in the Centres by various industry associations.
  • Attending training days/evenings held by CMS manufacturers.
  • Attending CMS country trade shows.
  • Receiving product training and literature via a call from a CMS Product Manager.
